As the primary is rapidly approaching, a few us thought that the Usual democrats breakfast at the end of the month was too important to pass up just because Kings was overbooked.

 So, after consulting a few of you, I took the liberty of booking us a nice big table at The Belmar Hotel, in Altoona for 9am This Saturday, April 29th.

Kathy has informed me that we are still booked at Kings for may and June and it is my opinion we should honor those commitments; for two reasons, one, to keep faith with Kathy’s hard work in making the the Democratic breakfast such a popular event (Thank you, Kathy) and two, We should always try to keep our word as a party.

After May and June we can talk about keeping the Breakfast at Kings or moving to the Belmar or even some other spot.

As This saturday will be very busy, for many of you and this is laid on at the last minute, I told the Hotel that we’d order off of the regular Breakfast menu but…

in the future, The Management of The Belamar has offered to lay out a special buffet, just for us, if we can guarantee 15 people consistantly and give them enough notice, but I think it’s worth talking about.

 The Belmar is at 1501 4th Ave.  Right above the Altoona public library. 

Coming From the 17th Street exit…go past the 4D’s/Bowling alley and up over the hill on 17th St.  on the down slope of the hill, look for the “Greater Altoona Vocational…” sign and turn right, just before it.  that’s 4th Ave.  If you pass the sign you’ve gone too far.
