In search of Progressive TV | BuyBlue.org

Raven Brooks, President of BuyBlue.org, tells of progressive TV stations to visit and support. Some that he omitted: Free Speech.org - channel 9415 on Dish Network, with shows such as Democracy Now, INN, Liberty TV; and Colors - channel 9407, also on Dish. Check them out.

Thanks for the tip - Tony and I watch Link and Current on DirecTV; I personally love Logo, the gay and lesbian channel, which tends to feature not only excellent news stories about civil rights that you just don’t see on the mainstream news, but also FABULOUS MUSICALS, which I love. I just wrote an e-mail to DirecTV asking when we’ll be getting Free Speech TV. (The Dish Network guys - 4 different ones - refused to climb on our roof to install our satellite! I guess only DirecTV guys are that crazy.)

I couldn’t live without my XM Radio and Air America! State College just got an Air America channel; how can we get one here in Blair County?

PS - I see you figured out the Press It link!

We have our DISH connected to the face board on the edge of the roof, SEE TV out of Homer City did it. FSTV also has a show called GAY TV with Ann Northrup and Andy Humm as the co-anchors–both were active in civil rights marches in the sixties. This show is not only informative about gay issues, it is funny. You won’t believe how many gays are actively (and in denial as Ann would say) working for the Bush administration and their Republican allies. It reinforces the sense of hypocrisy one gets while watching the Bush Crime Family Circus perform.
